The Media Glorifies Obama
49
McCain waits in the shadows...
Listen.......ssssshhhhhhh..... Do you hear that? O- ba-ma, O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma!
Unless you're living under a rock, you no doubt have realized how great the attention Senator Obama has been getting in the news media ever since he decided to run for President. You've heard the media swaying on the side of Obama, claiming to be fair. Most of the entire media outlets will claim to be fair (and balanced) while reporting the overwhelming media coverage for B.O. and McCain is nowhere to be seen, literally. If he is campaigning for the presidency, and I'm sure he is, the networks and cable stations surely aren't following his race for the White House. I've seen a clip or two, sure, but Mr. Obama seems to be saturating every news channel not to mention the internet. If he burps, he gets coverage. He has become the messiah of politics, surrounded by his many, many disciples.
Let me remind you that, while Mr. O may be a talented speaker and a respected man in his own right (according to who you ask), he is still a man. A human who makes mistakes, who can be overtaken with human faults and he is a polititian. Our country is in danger on many levels. We don't need a rock-star. We don't need a gifted, intelligent speaker who can excite the crowds with change, change, change. We need a strong, intelligent, brave, decent, honest person to set this country straight. I hope and pray, Mr. Obama, if elected will search his soul, take a good long look at what needs to be done, what's in the best interest of our great nation and do the right things.
We don't need "pretty" words. We need someone who will, not only promise change, etc. but willstand behind his words and be a person of integrity.

Hi flutterbug77 -
Well done hub. I really like how you composed your thoughts. It's pretty evident you are not a BO supporter yet you clearly state legitimate things for others to ponder regarding his popularity, without being on attack mode. This an art many people need to learn and I applaud you for appearing to have mastered it. (I tend to connect with those who can be objective).
I wonder what your take is on Fox News? I think they are fair and balanced and I like OReilly better than Hannity and Colmes. I like H&C program and even Hannity's America but think Hannity, even though I appreciate his passion, comes off as a bit arrogant and prideful a lot of the time. Kind of ironic since more people seem to dislike OReilly.
I agree with you. BO is a movie star to people and that is about all he is. Many seem to think he is the Messiah. He's just a clean cut kid that knows very little about this country. I have friends that worship the ground he walks on, so silly.

I agree totally. A smooth-tongued pied piper is not what we need in this country. We've been there time and time again. We do need change, but no single politician, in my humble opinion, can do so by himself. I really have no significant sway one way or the other yet with respect to the upcoming election. I do hope the real issues will begin to surface and create debate. As of now, all I hear is a bunch of political rhetoric.
